The Empyrean Pass works just like previous event passes in League of Legends. You’ll have special missions to complete, and as you finish them, you’ll level up the pass and earn cool rewards along the way.

The free reward tiers include event tokens, icons, keys, emotes, orbs, and capsules. Specifically, you’ll get 60 event tokens at tiers 2, 10, 20, 30 and 40. There’s an Empyrean Nightmare icon at tier 6, a key at tier 12, the Piercing Arrow emote at tier 16, an MSI Empyrean 2024 orb at tier 22, and an Eternals Series 1 capsule at tier 26.

However, if you choose to buy the Empyrean Pass, you’ll unlock a massively expanded pool of rewards. In addition to the free tier rewards, pass owners will earn over 2,000 bonus event tokens to spend. You’ll also get more orbs, a bag, masterwork chests, extra emotes, and a hefty supply of orange essence. Purchasing the pass significantly increases your event loot haul.
